Set in a delightful rural and peaceful location, this unique example of an English Baroque Garden is being restored as near as possible to the period 1680-1762.  The 10-acre mature walled garden contains over 600 species of plants from the period. The gardens are particularly special because they survived and continued to develop whilst the informal English Landscape Movement of the 19th Century saw the removal of most other formal gardens.  The Holly Maze is a distorted mirror image of the one at Hampton Court, designed by George London and Henry Wise.
