Salthrop House, Wroughton, Nr. Swindon
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS FAIR IS ON A FRIDAY
Salthrop House is a 200 year old manor house garden set on the edge of the Marlborough Downs. The house and gardens make the most of the fabulous views. Salthrop House faces north but as in all good designs all the main rooms and rear gardens and terrace face south.
The gardens contain a fabulous variety of perennials, shrubs, roses herbaceous borders and beautifully planted pots. The gardens are always developing with many exciting plans in the pipelines. Each area has it own character from the peaceful fern garden to the sweeping long borders the kitchen gardens all surrounded by sweeping lawns and graceful nodding meadows. You can wind your way through the woodland paths, or enjoy a moment of peace by the pond or be transported into another world in the scented glasshouse and potager kitchen gardens.
Well behaved dogs on a short lead are allowed in the Fair and Gardens.
